ABOUT

Bespoke wedding music, created with care, clarity, and respect for the meaning behind your chosen song.

Each arrangement is thoughtfully crafted to suit your walk down the aisle, signing of the register, or first dance — whether for piano alone, or with violin or cello. The focus is always on simplicity and emotional honesty, allowing the music to beautifully lift and embrace your moment and shape your memories.

The process is personal and collaborative, with every detail woven around your wedding, your timing, and your story. The result is music that feels natural, timeless, and uniquely yours.

How It Works

1. Reach out

Simply fill in my First Steps form or write me an email and tell me a little about your wedding - your date, the song you love, and how you imagine using the music (processional, signing, first dance, etc.).

2. We shape the idea together

I’ll ask a few questions about timing, instrumentation (piano alone, or with violin or cello), and the feeling you’re drawn to. You can let me know if you would like a Canon in D introduction and if the music is for your full bridal party + bride or just for your entrance.

3. First piano sketch

Once we’ve agreed to proceed, I will send you an Invoice and Work Summary. After receiving payment I create an initial piano sketch and send it to you. This is a starting point — something tangible we can discuss. You don’t need musical language - descriptions like “warmer”, “simpler” or “lower and less tinkly” are absolutely fine.

4. Collaboration & revisions

We refine the arrangement together until it feels just right. I’m always happy to make adjustments — this music is created for you, and I want you to love it.

5. Final recording & delivery

When the piece is finished, I take care of the licensing and release process so everything is handled properly and professionally.

The goal is simple: music that supports your moment, feels natural, beautiful, cinematic and allows you to feel magical on your wedding day.

Reviews

From the very first note, this piece took my breath away. I had a custom piano arrangement of “She’s a Rainbow” created by Paul Hankinson for my walk down the aisle, with violin by Clara Tietz, and it was nothing short of magical.

The communication process with Paul was incredibly easy and seamless from start to finish. He immediately understood the vision and brought it to life with such care and intention. The very first time I heard the chorus with the soft, fluttering piano, I instantly started crying. In that moment, I knew it was absolutely perfect and exactly what I was meant to walk down the aisle to.

The piano was beautifully romantic and emotional, and the addition of Clara’s violin elevated it into something truly unforgettable. It felt personal, timeless, and completely tailored to the moment. Walking down the aisle to this music was one of the most emotional experiences of my life, and I’m so grateful to Paul for creating something so meaningful.

If you are looking for custom music that feels intentional, cinematic, and deeply personal, I cannot recommend Paul Hankinson highly enough. Thank you again Paul!!

Paul was an absolute delight to work with. He asked for my suggestions & incorporated them into the design of a song for my wedding (a variation of Canon in D and a song my now-husband and I love, “Forever After All” by Luke Combs).

He produced an incredible piano version that made our wedding day that much more special. Paul is truly talented both creatively & instrumentally AND an overall genuine human being who was incredible to work with. We cannot thank or recommend him enough!!

I cannot express what a wonderful, perfect work of art this is! I’m like BURSTING! I am stunned and speechless that you not only did this…but did it in mere DAYS. Literally this is going to be my favorite thing about my wedding besides my actual husband! There’s not a single thing I would change! I wish I could frame audio in my house so I could see it every day!

I truly cannot express how much this has meant to me. I can already tell which parts of the day are going to “fade” with more time and having this song to listen to is legitimately magical.

Meet The Artists

Paul Hankinson · piano, arranging & production

I’m Paul - I’ll be the person you’ll be working with from start to finish.

I collaborate with a small circle of trusted musician friends - all classically trained and highly experienced.

We share the same approach: thoughtful, musical, ever aspiring to create a magical and memorable moment for you.

Every arrangement is shaped with care and intention — designed to support the emotion of your day in a way that feels natural, timeless and true to your story as a couple.

Clara Tietz · violin

Clara is a violinist with a beautifully warm, expressive sound and a deep musical sensitivity. Her playing adds a lyrical, cinematic quality to the music. She brings great care and refinement to every recording. One thing I love about working with Clara is that she always wants to record one extra take, wanting to make it even more tender, to make one note even softer, or one crescendo flourish ever so slightly more - she puts so much love into every note and is on a constant quest for beauty. Working with Clara is always a joy and I think you can feel our friendship shining in our recordings.

Elena Cheah · cello

Elena is a cellist whose playing brings depth, warmth, soul and grounding to each piece. Her rich sound sings with my piano, creating arrangements that feel intimate, elegant, and emotionally rich. One thing I love about working with Elena is that she is a graduate of Julliard, has been principal cellist with some of the worlds greatest orchestras and yet she approaches a wedding recording with the same care and commitment as she would a Beethoven Sonata. She calls her work Musical Alchemy. It is the weaving together of everything she’s lived: the precision of classical training, the freedom of improvisation, the sensitivity of a life spent reading and holding emotion. I feel honoured to work with her.
